· To educate students on identification and management of poisoning cases
· To develop awareness of legal responsibilities of medical practitioners
· To promote ethical and lawful medical practice
The department is staffed with qualified and experienced faculty members as per the norms of the National Commission for Homoeopathy, ensuring effective teaching and practical exposure.
At the end of the BHMS programme, students will be able to:
· Understand medico-legal aspects related to medical practice
· Identify and manage common poisoning cases
· Maintain proper medical records and legal documentation
· Practice medicine in accordance with legal and ethical standards
After completion of the course, students will be able to:
· Explain basic principles of forensic medicine
· Understand legal procedures such as postmortem examination and medico-legal reporting
· Identify signs and symptoms of common poisons
· Manage poisoning and toxicological emergencies
· Apply medico-legal knowledge in clinical practice
