Our pharmacy department can be rightly names as “Taxonomy of Homoeopathy”. The department consists of all the materials of academic importance. Museum consists of 205 specimens belonging to all the kingdoms along with all the instruments as mentioned in the Minimum standard requirements of Central Council of Homoeopathy. An ethnic Herbal Garden is maintained inside the college campus with 112 varieties of medicinal plants. Students will be taught to identify the medicinal plants in herbal garden. Departmental library consists of 65 books of latest editions.

We have drug source material from A to Z. We are equipped with all the materials used from 19th century to 21st century for the manufacture of Homoeopathic drugs. Thus such a material can give the students detailed information regarding the collections of drugs sources and manufacture of Homoeopathic drugs.

Theory classes and practical classes with the very detailed demonstration in all the procedures of Maceration, Percolation, Medicating procedures, Preparation of Potencies, Checking the impurities of vehicles, Preparation of Mother tinctures as per Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India.

About the Department

The department was established in the year 2018 since the inception of the college as a part of undergraduate course with its unique vision and mission. Homoeopathic Pharmacy is an art and science of identifying, collecting, preparing, preserving, evaluating, standardizing and dispensing of medicines. The department creates awareness among students about the originality and speciality of Homoeopathic Pharmacy. The department impart to the students the knowledge of the pharmacological and pharmacognostic aspects of Homoeopathic drugs. The students are educated on drug proving, prescription writing, dispensing of medicine and legislations pertaining to manufacture and sale of Homoeopathic medicines. The department has sufficient infrastructure facilities for conducting experiments in the laboratory. It also maintains a Pharmacognosy Lab for undertaking advanced research studies in pharmacology. The department maintains a herbal garden with rare and endangered species.
