Our college has been declared as a teaching medical institute Under the Tamil Nadu anatomy act 1951, foliating it has human cadavers for dissection and demonstration.

The department of Human Anatomy is destined to makethe students well versed in Human Body Parts, Organs, Embryology, Osteology and Histology.

• The Department is headed by an eminent physician highly qualifiedin academic experience furnished with state of the art infrastructure and assisted by technical staff.
• Numerous specimens of all body parts and organs are displayed in the department museum. The Histology lab has charts and adequate number of microscopes for discussions/seminars.
• The Dissection hall is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment’s for the purpose of dissection of cadavers and the First BHMS students are taught in detail about the Human Anatomy.
• Department museum consists of adequate models, charts, specimens, slides, diagrams, complete human skeleton and loose bones for educating students.
• The First BHMS students are taught not only with the structure of human parts & organs but also its functional correlation and applied aspect to help the student educated as a complete physician.

About the Department

The department was established in 2018 as a pre-clinical subject in UG course. It mainly teaches the students the structural organization of human body, embryology, histology and clinical anatomy. This basic understanding of human structure helps the students in understanding structural basis of disease.
