Department museum contains specimens of all the kingdoms, educational charts for student education. Materia Medica books authored by pioneers and stalwarts of Homoeopathy are available in the department library. Department faculties are involved in theoretical/clinical classes for all the students and interns.

The department of Materia Medica has separate Museum, demonstration room, and staff room separately according to the norms in Minimum Standard Requirements of Central Council of Homoeopathy.

About the Department

Materia Medica is a core subject in the Homoeopathic curriculum. It is taught to the students from the first year to final year. Homoeopathic Materia Medica is a collection of dynamic symptoms of drugs. The department impart proper knowledge among students on drug substances and its actions, and prepare them as a right prescriber by studying each drug synthetically, analytically and comparatively to be an effective physician. Emphasis is given on therapeutic diagnosis from Homoeopathic point of view. The therapeutic application of Materia Medica is demonstrable from cases in the outdoor and hospital wades. Materia Medica department was established in 2018.
